Blake Marbut of Reinhardt University baseball threw a perfect game the other day in a 3-0 win over Union. Catch the final out and celebration in this video below. Especially in college ball nowadays, you won’t find too many no hitters / perfect games. The new bats helped the pitchers’ cause, but then NCAA went and changed the balls and leveled the playing field a little bit.
Reinhardt University is an NAIA school out of Georgia (where most NAIA schools left seem to be located) in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. Blake Marbut is a 6’3″ Junior. He’s 4-1 with a 1.17 ERA in 30.2 innings pitched already this season. Must be nice to have 30+ innings pitched in early March. The game only lasted an hour and ten minutes – the beauty of well pitched games
