It’s been the topic of conversation and debate this entire off season. It all started with the now infamous Jose Bautista bat flip in last year’s postseason. That single flip will go down as the reason MLB has just announced bat flipping has been banned from baseball beginning Opening Day of 2016.

I mean it was only a matter of time after the flip heard round the world that MLB stepped up and did something about it, so we can’t be surprised right?

You read about all the drama between some of the young guys speaking out vs the old timers recently. Bryce Harper was the first one with the balls to say anything. Goose Gossage responded by pretty much calling him and idiot, and they both opened the door for their generations in baseball to duke it out.

The time has come baseball fans. The game of baseball has threatened to turn into the culture of the NBA or NFL filled with high energy, fun loving excitement enjoyed by Millennials across the country. We had to put a stop to it eventually before it got out of hand. Baseball is America’s Pastime. We have to protect that. The minute baseball becomes fun, new, and hip, we lose what makes baseball, baseball. It’s old fashioned classy roots. Good move MLB

PS. This article is crap and it hurt me to write those things. Happy April Fools Day baseball fans, it’s almost Opening Day!
