LSU Baseball Honors Army

On opening weekend, LSU Baseball hosted Army for a double header at Alex Box Stadium. They ended up taking two games, 9-0 and 6-0, including a no hitter thrown by LSU’s Jared Poche. Surprisingly that wasn’t the coolest thing that happened Saturday.

This season during every weekend home game the LSU Baseball team will be honoring a member of our military. They kicked off this season long tribute with taking on Army and Air Force for 3 games, Saturday and Sunday, with an extra special moment with the Army Baseball team between games.

It’s great to see this level of patriotism and appreciation. This gives me that warm feeling of America’s Pastime pride watching. Kinda messed up that LSU had to go shut them out two games, and didn’t even let them put up a single base hit in game two, but nonetheless, this was awesome.
