Do I smell what I think I do? Awh… the sweet smell of disagreeance. Let’s take a moment and evaluate the best players so far this decade, and create a dream team. (Age is also considered here, not just stats)

Line up:

  1.  Mike Trout- CF (LAA)
  2. Robinson Cano -2B (SEA)
  3. Giancarlo Stanton-RF (MIA)
  4. David Ortiz- DH (BOS) -Retired
  5. Josh Donaldson-3B (TOR)
  6. Miguel Cabrera-1B (DET)
  7. Buster Posey-C (SF)
  8. Francisco Lindor-SS (CLE)
  9. Michael Brantley-LF (CLE) ( If healthy)

Starting Pitching:

  1. Clayton Kershaw (Freakin duh) (LAD)
  2. Chris Sale (BOS)
  3. Madison Bumgarner (SF)
  4. Jose Fernandez(Projected.. RIP)
  5. Max Scherzer (WAS)

2 Set up Men: One lefty and One righty

  1. Tony Watson (PIT)
  2. Kelvin Herrera (KC)

Closers: One lefty and One righty

  1. Aroldis Chapman (NYY)
  2. Craig Kimbrel (BOS)

This was tough, especially at the 3rd baseman spot. To me, it was a toss-up between Kris Bryant and Josh Donaldson, which in this case, Donaldson has played longer during this decade so in terms of overall production, advantage Donaldson.

There are so many good shortstops in baseball today, especially with youth on their side, but i value an even amount of plate production on top of defense, advantage Lindor.

Leave some feedback in my Twitter (@traywickpeyton) I am very curious to see everyone’s opinion on this.
