Jake Peavy, pitcher for the San Francisco Giants, was on the mound at Fenway Park Tuesday, July 21, for the first game of a 2 game series between the Giants and Red Sox. As many know, Peavy was a member of the 2013 Red Sox team that went on to win the World Series. While Jake went out to the mound to throw his warmup pitches, the Red Sox showed a video tribute of Peavy’s 2013 season on the jumbotron.

Even though the video followed up with a standing ovation from Boston fans, Jake Peavy didn’t show too much love as he was too focused on the mound. But he did take to twitter to show his love for Boston and the memories made during the incredible 2013 run.
Boston, here's my tribute to you… pic.twitter.com/Mf0mC6HUnZ

This is a duck boat that was used in the 2013 World Series parade in Boston that Jake Peavy later purchased to have with him forever. Notice the “B Strong” painted on the front that symbolized the whole 2013 season for Boston, a year that left many devastated from an awful tragedy that took place during the Boston Marathon. Coming from a Boston fan, the 2013 season was a season I will never forget for as long as I live.
P.S., The Red Sox won that game Tuesday 4-0. Rick Cy Young Porcello improved to 12-2 on the year, and 9-0 at Fenway. Boston has won 9 out of their last 10 games, and currently sit at the top of the AL east. Watch out everybody. Big Papi and The Sox are coming for that trophy.
