For the last week or so, I have taken my offseason training to Kent, Washington, at the DriveLine baseball facility. This facility has produced some very impressive feats of baseball throwing.
For example, last winter, this happened. This is a “human being” (I’m not 100% sure honestly) named Casey Weathers, throwing a regulation, 5 ounce baseball almost 108 mph.
However, last week I had the pleasure to actually witness one of these spectacular events. It was not, however, in the same vein as the Weathers 108mph throw.
What I got to witness was a high school senior who wears a back brace and tops out at 75 striking out a Triple-A catcher. There’s nothing else I can say. Here is the video.
Pretty much anything can happen in baseball.
