The Atlanta Braves have confirmed that Hector Olivera was arrested this morning on allegations of domestic violence. He’s been placed on administrative leave by Major Leauge baseball as he waits to appear in front of a magistrate.
Incident took place this morning when police in Arlington, Virginia outside of Washington were called and found a woman covered in bruises alleging Hector Olivera had assaulted her. No charges have been formally brought yet, but the Braves have already called up Daniel Castro from AAA Gwinnett.

The 31 year old recently defected from Cuba and joined the braves last year.
