In case you missed it, and were living under a rock the past few days, Steve Harvey made one of the worst live TV screw ups in the history of television. He hosted the Miss Universe Pageant, and when it came to announcing the winner, he did the unthinkable.

Yea it was that bad. He announced the runner-up as the winner. They had to remove the crown from one barbie’s head and give it to the real winner. Tragic moment.
The Texas Rangers Double-A affiliate, the Frisco RoughRiders, did what all minor league baseball teams do. They made a promotion out of it. The RoughRiders will hold a “runner-up night” and have extended invites to Steve Harvey, Miss Colombia, members of the Buffalo Bills Super Bowl runner up teams of the 90s, Al Gore, Mitt Romney, and two time Heisman runner up Darren McFadden.

What a strange night surrounded by people that almost won things. Frisco RoughRiders EVP/GM, Jason Dambach said this in a statement about the promotion.
Although it may appear that Miss Colombia has lost, she really has won,” said RoughRiders Executive Vice President and General Manager Jason Dambach. “In a world in which everyone competes to be first, we have decided to honor how special a second-place finish can be. It’s something to be proud of and celebrated.
