As many people following baseball know, Nationals slugger, Bryce Harper got ejected from a game monday night against the Tigers.
Due to his actions he will now serve a one game suspension and an undisclosed fine for his actions following the ejection. Harper was seen yelling at umpire Brian Knight, after arguing a called third strike on his teammate Danny Espinosa. Harper had to be held back by coaches and teammates.
Now I understand where this is coming from, BUT I don’t agree with the actions taken. So many players swear, and talk poorly, about other players and umps. However, Bryce was unlucky because this one, was caught on camera, and streamed live for everyone to see. The only reason this is not good for Bryce is that he is considered a role model to many people, including youngsters.
I love it, this shows how much Harper loves the game in a different way. He was pumped that his teammate had hit a walk off, and wanted to show a little love to the umpire.
