Please hold the “awwwwwwww”s until the end of the article please. Yes, this is what you think it is – a baseball wedding. Let me introduce you to the newlyweds Matthew and Maggie Bratcher. There are baseball fans and then there are baseball lifers whose “church” is 330′ down the lines and 400′ to center. I’d say the Bratchers fall under the latter. I’ve met many a female that claim to want proposed to at the ball park or have a wedding on the mound, but who honestly goes through with it? Lifers do! The new Bratchers do! Just how real are they? Her processional was an acoustic version of “Take Me Out To The Ballgame.” Her garter had a cardinals jersey, her hubby’s favorite team on it. His ring has baseball stitches. The flower girl’s pennant flag said “Here comes the Bride” and on the back it said “What a catch!” Food? Cracker Jacks, peanuts, and Big League Chew (you can’t make this stuff up). They even had a 7th inning stretch. Whoever planned this thing deserves a big league ops career.
Thanks to the Bratchers for the photos, you the real MVP’s. Give my friend @MaggieLve a twitter follow.
